Great to see the underground guy's more than mixing it with the seasoned pro's.

Just makes me think, with a little luck and a little more support these guy's would be home and hosed.Do they have the talent?hell yah!they rip!

I watched Adam snap his two boards in last years quick pro and felt for him.

Such a great buzz down there this year.... everyone knows there will be great waves. Could one of the best Easter Weekends for a while.

The forecast looks great, and no horrible onshore wind forecast either. Plenty of swell.... I think we could get a Womens Champ on Saturday, and the men ringing The Bell on Sunday....

Round 2 should get completed tomorrow. Mens & Womens.
Round 3 should get sorted on Friday. And maybe Womens Quarters.
Saturday - Mens Round 4, and finish Womens.
Sunday - Mens Quarters and finish it.... Ring-a-ding-ding!

Go Robbo! As someone else said today, "unfortunately for the rest of them, it didn't look like Kelly got out 3rd gear today" (and he still won).

Great surfing today, and good solid waves.... Very happy day for me too, got a screamer at Winki Lowers almost down to The Cave, way down the end in "The Valley". I think it could have been one of my Top 20 waves of all time.... (not SUP).

Mac, it was indeed Bob's Yellow Dream Machine. The 7'10 quad. CMC's quad fins, some original Merrick Fibreglass up front, and the GXQ in the rear.

I was thinking of sending the McT boys an email, to tell them that the board is going well.

Got up super early for a paddle and scored it was sooo good, then checked out day 2 action at Bells before going to work.

Waves are just EPIC today, offshore all day.

Melanie Bartles from Hawaii scored a 9.5 after a deep barrell in her heat to take progress to the next round.

Drop everything go surfing !

Melanie Bartles

They have just announced moving the event to WINKI for obvious reasons .
