A balmy 17 deg, small fast waves at Rincon, & a few mates out...top day

4 man heat at Bells, and 2 man heat at Lowers.
I think we all got disqualified with wave counts of over 30 each!

Hey Dean, came past at about 11 but was on my way back to work. looked like you were having a good time . And what about those whales, they were pretty close in.

Yeah......the whales were a high light of the day, particularly when you can hook your paddle onto their tail for a tow back out

Its one of those days when I should have taken the camera with me, particularly in the afternoon when Robdog was out with us, the carpark shots dont show how much fun the wave really was......

Marathon man Dean 5 hour session!!!

Speaking of whales, last year some came in really close to us at Bridgewater Bay. I heard later from a reporter at the local paper that someone had rung in and reported that some surfers were standing on the backs of the whales!!!

Be careful boys. Parks Vic aren't too keen on people enjoying the whales up close. They may mistake youre paddle for a harpoon!!

It was good surf that day too Robdog Only the wales wanted to share the waves with us
