I've been looking at this board really hard and thinking of buying it as I want to drop own in size from my 9-10 plus my kids are really starting to get into it I need a second board (good excuse).

The board is 27.5 x 4-1'4 quad and I'm 6ft and 88kg I think I'm a bit big for it , but I would use the board mainly on good days , I just love the lines of it but I also like the C4 9-3 Sub Vector & the Naish 9-3.

I read some great revies on the C4 , Naish & PSH 9-3's has anyone read a review or ridden the 9-1 Ron House ?

Piros,
Are you a longboard style sup surfer or are you looking to ride this more like a shortboard? If the answer is shortboard, I think this board will be too long and too narrow for your weight. Things are changing quickly for shortboard sup. The most recent design is the starboard 8'5" pocket rocket. I am 92kg and rode it over the weekend no problems, and this board rips and is the best shortboard sup I have ridden yet. If you want a short baord, 9'1" is too long.
Regards,
Scotty

Hey Piros - no, but looking at the plan shapes they are very different boards to the House-

Naish 9'3. - 9'3" x 29 1/2" x 4 1/4"

PSH 9'3' Ripper

Hey Piros, how is it mate? Personally I love the look of this board and think It would rip, I reckon its the type of board you would be looking to get barreled on, looks real gunny just my 2c. I thought you had a 9 3" ripper? because both this and the 9 3 " naish look awesome, and either on of these would be perfect also, still friggen onshore here so yet to try my 8 6".

Thanks boys,
I'm keeping my 9-10 so this will be a good weather board , the more I sup the more I'm surfing bigger and sucker waves , the good thing about this board that is it is here in stock and I can lay it over my 9-10 , it has more nose an tail lift and it does'nt look 9 inches shorter if that makes sense.

What I'm after is a charger but also a board I can throw around alot more , I did have a PSH 9-2 but not anymore so I'm still looking.

Why did you get rid off the 9 2" ?

I to have looked at this board Piros is talking about, from a shaping background (surfboards) IMHO,this board would rip for the bigger guy!
The photos don't do this thing justice!

The board just wasn't me and I'm really used to quad set up , the board was fast and easy to turn but I was always unsettled on it , I did have my moments on it but not enough to keep it plus it was really easy to sell , I could have sold it 3 times.

Mac at 9-1 x 27.5 x 4-1/4 it's not a big guys board , maybe expert big guy, you're right about the bottom photo it looks like and old single fin.

I've stuck my neck out a bought the 9-1 , This will be my 3 third Ron House board 10-3>9-10>9-1 I know it will rip , it's just the paddling thing that might slow me down , but really it will be the kids board I'm about to start distance training again on the new 12-6 so hopefully I can shed a couple more kilos to make it a bit easier on the 9-1.
