Yep, the trip I did last year, I took my sup as well as my short board quiver! Epic trip for both. Would love to go back with a crew to get some good footage. The trip I did was just with mates that all just surfed. I got my share of both.
Some old school Feezy on the PSH 9'3, affectionately known now as the White Whale
not sure how to add this, hope it works.
So many great sup waves don't even need to go to the big name spots just get a good boat and a crew together and just go we did north menties last year south is on our radar next
Nice vid, really enjoyed it and brought back memories of my old PSH 9'3 ripper many years ago.
Loved the wipeout at about 1.32 sec
Cheers
Thats a great Vid Supvader , nice and steady filming from the boat , which break was it ? and yeah hows the hiding at 1.32 gutsy stuff.
awesome, im keen now! yeah im taking 2 sups, i planned on taking a short board too (ecs bulldog) for fat smaller waves. but Garuda said you can only have max of 2 boards even if theres only one bag?? does anyone know the ways round this?
the waves look fun, i'll be the only paddlesurfer out of whos going but thats always the way.
i'm taking 2 ecs weapons, brushed carbons ones 7'10 x 27 x 3 3/4 and 5.2 kg, the other is the exact same but 4" thick and about 6.2kg.
we have a photographer for the trip so hopefully ill get some good shots and even better wipeouts!
I haven't flown with Garuda, I normally go Singapore Airlines! Last time I took 1 sup and 3 short boards. Put one short board in with the sup and the other boards in a double board cover! All good until the trip home, when they decided to lob the sup of the plane onto its rail.
I would be keeping the sups separate and puting the shorty in with one. Just tell them you have 1 board in each.
It seems like such along time ago but the mentawis was fantastic! Met some gr8 people whom I'm still in contact with ! Thx for the kind comments :) I'm riding an 8'10" fanatic now and would be insane over there!!!
Been on a yacht charter - Mangalui and stayed at wavepark resort.
Both good in their own way, although like the flexibility of the boat trip to get around depending on conditions.
Looks fun thanks guys looking forward to going now, hopefully I'll be able to post some pics if I get some good ones.
This is what I'll be riding
Hope you score like us and the rest of the crew on this post Pohaku!! Went on the same trip as Stimo, and have been on other trips with short boards only, but being able to mix it up, and being with a crew of like minded suppers was the best trip ever!!
Your boards are perfect for up there!! Charge hard and looking forward to seeing your photo's when you get back!
Yew those waves are pumpin!!
The board with blue tail is 7'10 x 27 x 3 3/4 88L 5.2kg
And the orange tail is the same but has quad option and is 4" thick I think and 6.2kg
