SUPers better behave...

On 23 March, the Marine Area Command attended charity event 'Harrys Challenge Paddle' in Newcastle. This event was organised by Harrys House family retreat which offers family's with sick children a place to stay while children are receiving treatment in the area. It is named after Harry Meyn who lost his life at the age of seven to a brain Tumor see website www.harryshouse.com.au/harry-meyn-foundation for more information.
The event was a 8.5km Stand up paddle race from Punt Road Stockton to Stockton Bridge and return. The MAC attended with 2 jet skis and a RHIB as safety vessels and had 2 officers participate on Stand up paddle boards. These SUP's were kindly provided with the assistance of 2up SUPS at Stockton www.facebook.com/2upSup. This was great day for a great cause

I don't think they got close enough to pull him over! (... and anyway they're paddling for the same team!!!)

Wonder if the guys at Starboard thought about it when they decided on the colours - could almost claim they were customs ??

Thanks to Coxy and starboard for sponsoring these paddle boards to the Marine Area Command, certainly raising some eyebrows and promoting water safety and use of PFD,s on the water.

Would they be interested in some off shore races in Sydney?

We won't use them in the offshore races but happy to come to narrabeen or anywhere on nth beaches for any events you may have planned, inc the PWC's. Might bring them to the alley in November. ??????
