The monthly paddle or race depending on what you want out of it. Using the Canning Bridge Rowing course in Mt Pleasant, participants will nominate the time they think it will take them to do the 4.2km loop. Race it, paddle it, cruise it, whatever you like - you just can't wear a timing device, stop or go backwards.
The winner is the person closest to their nominated time. There will also be prizes for the most improved time from month to month. Additionally we will have a leader board for the fastest times as a comparison to the other 4.2km time trials done around Australia.
Where - Deep Water Point at Canning Bridge
When - Saturday 8th of July Time - 0730
Cost - Free!
Board length - any size you like, just figure out what time you'll do

You must submit your nominated time to Ian Lane - ianlane@iinet.net.au before 9pm Friday the 5th to enter the PaddleLoop.
If you just want to record a fast time you can turn up on the day. Great opportunity to meet everyone and get involved in this fantastic sport on a beautiful part of our river. Good for the kids too!
All Fun, All Free and All Welcome!

The weather is looking chilly, which means it should be a great time to paddle. Just to be sure to pack warm shoes and socks to put on after you paddle.

If you have any questions about the timing side of things, then please call me: 0412 919 176

See you and your SUP buddies there.
Cheers,
Ian

I'm in, looking forward to it!
Everyone is talking about it as a great fun event. A light easterly at Canning bridge is very sheltered.

who will get closest to their nominated time? (I'm still deciding whether to go hard or cruise )

It maybe cold, but the best way to avoid feeling chilly is to get moving - so we will see you there.
Everyone says they will cruise, but as soon as the word "GO" gets mentioned, you can't help but give 100%.
Plus there are Freddo Frogs up for grabs
Invite your SUP'ing mates and email through your times...

Well done everyone on another great paddle.

Line honours: Nicola Masci (28.04mins)
Closest to estimate time: Derek Jones (30sec over) and Tim Walker (40sec over)
Most improved: Chris Le Messurier - improved by over 7 mins!

Excellent work Sam who is 10 years young! Hope to see more of the young ones on the course in the future.
Excellent work Jade the first female sup'er.
Excellent work Paul, Tim & Clint - it was their first or second time paddling EVER!

Thanks for coming along & thanks to everyone who helped.

Board length would be a good idea, we will see if it is possible.

For the full results.
To explain the results above: Group time is your nominated finishing time. Your Time is your finishing time calculating your starting position and the +- is how long after the fastest paddler you finished.
