The monthly paddle or race depending on what you want out of it. Using the Canning Bridge Rowing course in Mt Pleasant, participants will nominate the time they think it will take them to do the 4.2km loop. Race it, paddle it, cruise it, whatever you like - you just can't wear a timing device, stop or go backwards. The winner is the person closest to their nominated time. There will also be prizes for the most improved time from month to month. Additionally we will have a leader board for the fastest times as a comparison to the other 4.2km time trials done around Australia. Where - Deep Water Point at Canning Bridge
When - Saturday 7th of September
Time - 0730 (Race Start) 0715 (Registration)
Cost - Free!
Board length - any size you like, just figure out what time you'll do
You must submit your nominated time to Ian Lane - ianlane@iinet.net.au before 9pm Friday the 5th to enter the PaddleLoop.
If you just want to record a fast time you can turn up on the day. Great opportunity to meet everyone and get involved in this fantastic sport on a beautiful part of our river. Good for the kids too!
All Fun, All Free and All Welcome!
Yep, I'm in too. Deep Water Point has to be one of the best flat water paddling locations in Perth. Good to see you're in Gooch and Juddy, what about Rog, Basha, KKS and Co ???
Looking like fast conditions for this weeks paddle loop. Don't forget to nominate you time to Ian before Friday night.

Fastest: 1st Ben, 2nd Marcus, 3rd Greg (All broke the 27mins Race Record!)
1st Female: Candice :)
Closest to Estimate Time: Greg 4 sec too fast and Jason 5 sec too fast!
Looking forward to seeing you and your mates next month.
Thanks for timing Jade, Jodi and Sal!
Thanks to Jade, Jodi, Sal and Ian - what an awesome start to the weekend ! I keep telling myself 'it's only 4.2 k's' but it seriously hurts towards the end !!
I was thinking I was getting along quite ok at about the 3k mark, then Ben, Marcus and Greg shot past me like I was standing still.
It's looking like the FOB's are in for a very competitive year - 5 of us within 90 seconds - all great fun though.
See you all at the Bridge to bank next week.

Well done to jade, Jodi and Ian (with photos by Sal) for another great PaddleLoop. Great to see new faces and witness some great improvements. I wasn't trying for the correct time, just trying to keep up with the flying tardrews. Lach was paddling well, I was trying to work out who the fit looking guy was so far out in front half way thru..only just got you on the line.
Ben just poked my eyes out some good times there may have to get the 16 out soon when the sun comes out
Here are the corrected Personal Best Times from the last 5 PaddleLoops. Special thanks to Swannie from the Sunshine Coast for providing the spreadsheet. It looks like we might have to extend our course by 20m to line up with the Kawana course (4.2km) to compare times, but it is all about fun and seeing improvement.
Let us know boards/length when entering for the next PaddleLoop so we can enter those details.
