SUPWA with the great support of its fantastic sponsors is proud to present the SUPer Demo Day 2014
WHEN: Sunday the 2nd of November
WHERE: Matilda Bay foreshore
TIME: 1.00pm till 4.00pm
There will be huge range of boards and all things SUP for you to see and demo. This is a great chance to try that board you've been looking at, and maybe drop a few hints for Christmas.
So tell your friends and family and join us and our sponsors for a great afternoon.
SUPWA does a great job, awesome they are putting this on. But just a thought, WA + November + afternoon = 20knots
Thanks Hilly
Last time we had a Seabreeze and it was perfect. You can actually see how well protected Matilda bay is on the google maps photo Jenkz has put up - it's a Seabreeze the way the boats are laying and the wind shadow line shows the completely calm flat water close in shore.
All the retailers will have their 2015 boards by this date, just in time for a test paddle for a Xmas present.
It's the biggest combined demo day in WA, best opportunity to test all sizes and brands in one go.
The SUPWA SUPer Demo Day will be on sites 4 and 5 so plenty of parking and shade available.
Will have info on boards available for demo soon......
Guys the Windsurfing Expo is on the same day at Safety Bay: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Western-Australia/SBWC-Windsurfing-Expo-2-November/ I would love to go to both but same day same time makes it a bit hard.
Windsurf down to the SUPWA SUPer Demo Day :-) I'm frothing at the thought of trying out new SUP race boards.
SIC ones sound interesting & new for WA.

Bugger.
Looks like light winds for the day, so fortunately it's better for a SUP demo.
Come down and dance around a paddle instead of a pole.
We have confirmation so far of some of the boards available for demo,
Laird, BIC, Starboard, Yob, Fanatic and if they can get them off the wharf in time a variety of SIC boards.
more to follow....
Looks like a great weekend. Just heard starboard will have their 2015 race boards fresh out of the container for their debut in Australia. This coupled with the 2015 race range from Fanatic, Naish, YOB .... It's gonna be huge!
No where else in Australia will you see such a collection of SUPs to demo at one location - except merimbula (but that's in Victoria and 1 month away). If you have even a passing interest in SUP this is the demo day for you - surf SUP, race boards, inflatables, paddles - THE LOT!!
Just got word that the full range of Starboards 2015 models will be available for demo.

Thanks to all sponsors, a great event. I reckon I tried about 15 boards today.
Tried all the inflatables, several Starboard dug out style 14's, Race and Ace, Ace was probable fastest, Naish Javelin was fast and stable, Fanatic One was great, but for my skill level the Yob 14' was the favorite.
Tested some ridiculously small surf SUPs, paddling with water sloshing around my ankles in one case. Bit hard to tell how they would go in the surf. 8'8 Hokua, 8'5(?) All Wave and 8'8 Starboard Airborne all would be fun to surf.
Makes up for purchasing 5 SUP's over the last ~3 years without demoing a single one.
Pic shows gps tracks for the afternoon, I had meant to see which was fastest, but can't remember which was which now.
Well the SUPWA SUPer Demo Day was a success with a great turn out of people looking to demo boards. Some crew even made the trip down from Geraldton especially for the day.
The day would not of been possible without the fantastic support of our sponsors who supplied boards for the day. A big thanks to,
Stand Up Paddlesports
Action Sports WA
Stand Up Surf Shop
YOB Australia
DC Paddleboards
Great job by the SUPWA committee to all chip in and help out to make sure the day ran smoothly.
