Latest update for the Sea Cliff Challenge, Wollongong this Saturday.
Distance SUP race has been adjusted to suit the latest weather predictions and will start from Scarborough Beach / finish Bulli approx 8.5k, a final decision on the course will be made 8.30 race day. This is a pretty special part of the East Coast and is sure to impress first timers to the area.
Report 8am at Bulli Beach, we have a number of trailers and options to cart competitors to the start line For a 10am start.
5km course race will be held off Bulli Beach 11.30am start, and the 1.5km non race board / novices race will also start at Bulli 11.30am.
Bulli SLSC is hosting this event and has secured a range of support craft to ensure everyone's safety on the day, and we have a tonne of prizes (and cash prizes for long course race) as well as a special framed print for each divisional winner.
If you are a downwind enthusiast then why not make a weekend of it, after racing the Sea Cliff Challenge you can head 45 mins down to the Gerroa fest and support the Sydney SUP crew with their event who have organised a DW paddle and tuition.

Event had to be postponed unfortunately due to 50km W / N/W winds making it too unsafe for all competitors.
New date for the Sea Cliff. Ocean Challenge will now likely be 22 November.
pretty disappointing for sponsors, organisers and competitors, but the right decision was made with the rescue of a surfboat swept more than 4 km out to sea underway at the time the decision was made.
thankfully the boaties are all safe with the Coast Guard towing it back to shore.
