Just snapped my Waterman C4 kevlar-carbon HD paddle across the thickest part of the blade while paddling into a wave.
Ended up prone paddling 45 minutes back to shore as it was on an outer reef. Looks they should gave laid the fiber at an angle rather than straight. So much for kevlar, Heavy Duty and the hype. Well given the recent paddle breakages I guess I am not the only frustrated paddler (although prossibly the only one who actually snapped the blade).
Actually got my self another kevlar-carbon replacement paddle, the Naish WAVE LE-Pro Performance Wave, which couldn't be more different both in terms of feel (RDM shaft, super flexible), size and construction, but that is another story.
Cheers,
Samiman
