pretty awesome stuff that DK won the sup. Can't wait for Redbull to put out the dvd of the event. Some beautiful scenery makes me homesick.

You would love Otago STC they even get snow in winter and Great white Sharks - just like home. Yep good to see DK kick butt he hails from Raglan which is my closest break. He is a pro and has competed internationally as well as nationally in short board, long board and SUP surf as well as big wave tow in and waka ama - a true waterman.

Yep March is probably our best month for surf around the country and they were lucky to get that big cyclone swell at the right time, but I would have to say that after living in Aus for around 10 years and returning for occasional holidays that the surf there is generally better , more consistent and more of it,there is still plenty of uncrowded spots, the water is warmer and clearer and the weather better, so there you go , you might as well cancel that surf trip to NZ!
