SUPfest comes to the Southern Beaches with “Southern Beaches SUPfest 2017"

It kicks off on Carlton River 14/1 @ 10am with an easy 10km group paddle from the river mouth to the Primrose bridge and return, you can go as hard as you like, or just cruise it.
Then we move to Dunalley subject to conditions @ 2.30 for a 15km group downwinder, once again you can go as hard as you like, or just share a few runners in good company.
Sunday 8am sharp we have a SUP Surf comp at Park Beach, the Park Beach Boardriders Club have welcomed us and will run a mini comp for us as part of the clubs "summer series", you will need to be a current financial member of either PBBR or NWTSC to compete in the SUP surf comp for insurance purposes.
There is a facebook group for this, let us know if your coming and we can add you so you can keep up to date.
For reasons of legal liability this is a group paddle, we look out for each other and hold no one responsible if the **** hits the fan.

Carlton River 10

Once again the carlton river lived up to its fearsom reputation testing both man and board in todays paddle, with winds gusting to 40 knots and some of the biggest seas seen on the river for many years, a small, but hardy crew set off in the chase of glory after deciding that one way paddle was on instead of making the usual return journey and to create a benchmark for the one way trip.

Big thanks to Tony & Dave for keeping the crowds under control.

2nd Open, 1st 0/50 Peter 39.21
