Hi there!
Im buying a new 14' race board but i don't know whatcto buy. I come from Middle Europe and in general all our races are on (death)flat water and really small waves(20cm-50cm). I'm looking for a board for those conditions. I want the board about 23'-24' wide. I'm 15 years old, 184cm tall and have 68kg-70kg. So the question is which board is better for me on those conditions.
Thank you for your answers.
Best regards,
Slosuprider.
Why not consider the Starboard Sprint if you want a 14' x 23" board for flat water. It is substantially faster than the All Star in these conditions. In fact, it is substantially faster than any other production board in flat water.

no, you've done a good job yourself
You might also want to consider a Sic 14'x24" X Pro Lite.
Flat deck, so much more fun than a dug out & a fast board

And if you get a little runner you can actually surf them even more fun than a dug out......
well ill I expect you can cause I can surf an X-14 27 wide but I'm way too big for 24 wide

If you want to surf little runners, then obviously you get a Starboard Ace - everybody knows that.
Thank you for your answers!
But i'm riding Naish Javelin 12'6"×24" and if posible i would rellay love to stay on Javelin. I hope someone can compare the new Javelin and All star.

Well as Maxeeboy says above, it all depends on whether you are talking the 2015 All Star or the 2016 All Star. The 2016 is going to turn a few heads and maybe change the game a bit. But we don't know how it's going to work in all conditions until it lands in a few weeks time.

Ive seen one. The nose in real life on the narrow all stars looks like the old le jav nose with a kind of sprint shape bottomwith those rail and super heavy concave. which was surprising because in the photos the nose looked more wider. It also seems to have a touch of reverse rocker. To be honest at least with the narrow one it doesnt look or seem to perform any more all round than the 2015 models. Appears to still be more flatwater inclined.
the new naish dw board is the one that looks very likely what a few people have been waiting for

My understanding is the 28" width All Star is the one with the rounder, wider nose and more rocker. You wouldn't know it from the release information.
I thought all three different 2016 all star widths are basically totally different boards??
Re original question if you are on the jav now you are only going to like the new 2016 jav even more so stick with what you like and you won't be disappointed.

Good news ive just seen some of the wider ones they look good
What's the weight difference between carbon and non-carbon?
To be honest not a lot. They are both heavy imo. 14 ft ers.
Carbon and non carbon 28"
I like the noses. Back to future for starby and a long time coming imo
2012 coast runner with an improved hull

So true....these are the observations I make on the SUP forum about the industry and "design" and built-in obsolescence, and the haters out there give me red thumbs........seen it all before in sailboards..

I just don't know about that. a little bit off reverse rocker after the nose isn't that you would consider a 'normal' feature in a all round board and im not sure about the rest of the sprint type hull for dw ing .
the nose shape is one of the best ive seen in my eyes but im a massive fan of fuller nose boards.
however lets see what these wider sprints can really do.
love to try one out in the ocean

If it didn't have the red nose & the Starby stickers, it could have been thought of as a new DC with a nose like that.

That seems a little unfair to say that DC has copied Starboard.
I would have thought it may have been the other way around actually...
The white board with the blue stripes in the above pic is a 5 year old design. But as Lacey says, even then it's not unique.
