It didn't seem as lumpy as it looks in these pics. Even after the wind got up there were some good waves to be had. Chris scored a few great rides, with some big hacks.

However, the boys shouldn't have slept in - it was just a gentle offshore for most of the morning and really nice . But being Melbourne/Vic, once the wind gets up it usually does so with a vengeance - and at that spot you cop it all. Sean must have had a big lens to get these pics, so I imagine it being buffeted in the wind without a tripod.

Thanks again for the time on the beach Sean. It was bumpy as out there, and yes maybe a little late or maybe a little early! The wind backed right off down here and went glassy. Spewing I wasn't out there then! How was the kiting?
