Hi Peter.. That was yesterday (Thursday 3rd of July) ..
Today is looking awesome because it's already blowing more than 35-40 knots.. Melbourne really is a windy city.. .. Hope you get a good one tomorrow.
When end I was a kid I remembered making big balsa wood gliders that needed to be flown in very still conditions and I used to think "when are we ever going to get a calm day".. and I cursed the wind back then..
Yep the waters plenty cold enough
Sub 13c now
I had on an excel 4/3 and was nice and toasty.
Dunno how Michael did it in shorts & no booties on a 25" Ace.
There may perhaps be an inverse relationship between skill and wetsuit requirement...
Thanks macs..
We have many put in and take out spots that can vary the run from 6 klms to 60 klms ..
This run (St Kilda to a Sandy) is our most common and is about 10klm long and takes anything from 50min to 90min depending on the group.. the day.. and how many regrouping stops we have along the way..
thanks dj ...looks like heaps of fun...we are starting to do a few downwinders on the central coast..average 10 kms to 13 kms lake or ocean ...dont seen to get the consistent winds like you guys though....
I had the booties...and got wet once. Felt real shakey that run. Probably the nerves of the possibility of another swim. Pretty messy out there too yesterday
