Surfing tidal bore at Turnagain Arm, Alaska

Stopped to watch tidal bore and spotted someone attempting to SUP it. Didn't quite make it to the end. It is Winter in Alaska but very mild. Probably 1 C today.

Bore has left him behind







Stopped to watch tidal bore and spotted a SUP surfing the bore until it out paced him. The Turnagain Arm from Aleyska Ski Resort.

that looks freezing quite literally!

the snow looks primo though, enjoy! very jealous!

Mate that guy must be so keen , at least it's not crowded and what we were you up to doing winter in Alaska ?

It's probably supthecreek, looking for somewhere colder than his normal climes...

A reveal..snuck a pic after he made it to car park. Headed to Alaska hoping to see the Aurora Borealis... see the start of the Iditarod Dog sled race ,walk on a glacier, check out Ice Scultpures and whatever else was on offer. Young ones want to ski or snowboard but only minimal slopes open and only for experts.
