Park Beack local and sponsor of the "TassieSUP Winter Clasic" Eve through her business "Sea Urchin Design" putting is some practice today at the Mecca Bowl, hope the girls from NWBR are taking notice
Just a thought bubble,
about the Tassie big wave surfers
they're all getting into SUP and they are odds
on to scoop the pool if they enter our comp .. and
if they enter we get extra kudos .. so we want them.
We only got one of them, Kyron, to enter last year
and he cleaned up and was really good value.
Perhaps these big wave surfers have their own
insurances .. silly if they didn't .. in which case
we don't have to cover them and so they get into our
comp .. with a disclaimer .. somehow .. without having to
affiliate with Surf Tas.
They're all tight asses .. great guys .. but they're looking for
surfing in-come .. not out-go .. simple as that.
It's like the early Pipeline Masters .. they don't know yet
that they're going to be surfing legends .. when the
TassieSUP Winter Classic breaks through the ice ceiling
and it's by invitation only .. they'll be sorry that they didn't
get involved.
So endeth this lesson
no pic .. just imagine 40' Shipstern with a SUP
coming down.
There are a lot of strugglers who have to fork out the Surf Tas fee to enter the event, or Any surfing Tas event
Start making exceptions and we will want the the pension card discount
Pay your way if you want to enter i say.. big wave surfer or Sunday basher.
There are hundreds of guys who surf Shipsterns now, and they are all think they have legend status, where could you draw the line .
just my thoughts.
Park Beach local and over 70 club Champion 2MT who is always the innovator has just perfected this new manoeuvre, sure to impress the judges at the "TassieSUP Winter Classic"

Must be one of the special skills he teaches at The Kook to Kool SUP school.
Nice move 2MT.

Thanks ET
very sad
all my opposition are just
down the line soldiers
we need guys like you to
bring down some exciting
abstract concepts .. and
liven the place up a bit

Nice thoughts 2MT but the most "exciting abstract concepts" I could bring to Tassie, would pale into insignificance when compared to moves like yours.
Us banana benders are simple men who can only surf right hand point breaks and even then not very well. Still we persist into our senior years.

He's relapsed back to the 60's

Beetles yellow submarine era

Hey that looks very much like my collection.
ET.
The full collection would
probably include the
inaugural hoodie .. circa 2012
which is to die for and
which is still available upon
request from Sea Urchin Design.
Supporters of TassieSUP Winter Classic
Will have to place an order for one of those with sea urchin on the weekend , but surely the 1st real tassiesup winter classic was run in 2013 when the north of the state was included ??.
forecast for Saturday looking good on surf forecast. - 3 stars , 10-20 knot winds , water temp 12.5 - pack the light wetsuits .
The circa 2012 inaugural hoodie
is a proven chick magnet.
.. and yes .. weather and wave conditions
will be perfect .. 2-3 ft and light offshore
at Eaglehawk Neck

Maybe you need to get away from Park to a location with something resembling a wall or at least some power....;D

seem to remember that great SUPer from the north "Billboard" at the 2012 Winter Classic along with an eastcoaster and even one from Clifton
I seem to recall that in 2012 billboard had yet to see the light and was surfing with park beach , before latter becoming enlightened and joining the North West Boardriders .
Tony I reckon the chick magnet in that picture could be those hot Jimmy Lewis boards laying on the beach .

We'll do some control tests on the day
But I'm fairly confident.
Looks like Eaglehawk this year . The shorebreak will provide great entertainment for spectators if it's over two foot.

Hi guys,
Have checked out the Surfing Tas website, but it does not mention a start time for Sat morning. I'm not staying at the Lufra for Friday night, so would appreciate a start time to work my plans to.
Is probably mentioned in previous pages but could not find. Cheers

Hey Brad6, the plan is to meet at Lufra at 8, with the first heat in the water about 9.00, it looks 99% that we will be on at eaglehawk hawk, so as long as you there before 9.00 you should be ok.
we will try and find a few left handlers for you and your "Jimmy Lewis Stun Gun"
