Some fun on a fat peak yesterday... For me, the spirit of SUPing lies in taking advantage of less-than-perfect peaks, I started on a clean hollow peak 200m to the south, but then seeked some solitary pleasures on these fat little beauties...
Sweet new stick! Accaloids to your faithful camerawoman, we can see how the board really goes. This autumn has been a jem. And at this medium swee size range, all the banks are rideable leaving the masses peacefully spread out. A'biento.
your beard is grey.
Beard is whitening, scalp is balding, ... but it is more and more summer on the inside!
Thanks all for the nice comments!
And yes SurfingJ, I was surprized by the mild climate up to now... nearly no rain nor onshore days...
PS: This board is now at the limit of what I can ride confortably, due to its narrow width, main (28") and tail (17" 1/16), plus the nearly 50/50 rail in the front (kind of a hull effect). It rolls on the rail so quickly... but I am still a bit "walking on eggs" and thus I am often with a too narrow and upright stance, by fear of moving around... I need practice!
Happens to the best of us ,I don't grow a beard now ,,,its grey .
that looks like a good wave for a 7.0 raptor .
your doing great to ride a 115 litre board ,I'm still at the 128 litre stage
but slowly getting smaller ...and smaller ...
it s the catching of the waves I notice gets a lot harder as you get smaller
but once on the wave ...a huge .....improvement on ripping it up ,as shown .
Really enjoyed your vid colas.... fat waves with shape and size enough to play with, are a blast!
I like the shape of your board, nice!
We have been sending all our storms over to you, when we are done with them
The credits, with board and paddle info, is good!
Fun vid and good music.......gray is perfectly acceptable. Its when you start using henna that it becomes alarming
Very nice, throwing it around like a young fella.
Now, 7'4" x 28" and 115 litres? What is the thickness, colas? Where is the foam in the beastie? and i cant recall your dims either....?
As we idle out of a great winter, i can only hope yours is good, too.
It is a Fatal 7'3" www.gong-galaxy.com/magazine/pics/1-hour-4-boards/
with length boosted to 7'4" and thickness to 5.25" and volume ~ 118 liters
The foam is in the center, Patrice Guénolé uses domed decks to hide away the volume from the rails.
