Frothing to try it tomorrow - though I don't think I'll be able to do this board justice from the sounds of it!

My sprint and ali's race.photos don't show everything. Same pedigree . The race is pretty quick, impressive and has the feel of the sprint.

the sprint is high speed cruising

Wow the new Sprint really is a flatwater machine! Impressive speed for minimum effort... hard to imagine just how quick it will go with a good engine on board!
There's a lot of similarities between the two boards and you can see the 'sprint' pedigree carrying through to the Race.
The Sprint is hands down the faster of the two in the flat (as would be expected), but for a board that's 2" wider the Race is actually pretty quick.
Surprisingly the Sprint actually feels more stable when you first jump on, whereas the Race will roll a little more to start with but its secondary stability is good and it doesn't ever feel like it will roll too far. When you look at the bottom of both boards the square edge in the middle section of the Sprint is a little sharper than on the Race, so this combined with a lower centre of gravity probability explains why it feels more stable.
