You just know when you have been on Seabreeze too long when you drive onto Auburn Road to go home for lunch and you see a little black car with. 14" Naish on the roof and you say to yourself there goes DJ for a paddle!!!

am not sure.....would feel slightly reassured if you spelt "too much" with a double O rather than "to much" though :)

Friends sent me a photo late last year of a little black machine with a big yellow board on the racks saying "next to DJ Hoddle St!". We live 4hrs from Melb, so a rare event.

Celeb status!

And while we're at it on the typos...

I didn't realize that Naish made a 14-inch board...

Btw why does a tall bloke like DJ drive a car for hobbits? Maybe he doesn't want to be the one who drives the group to the start during the vehicle shuffle when downwinding. Hmm...smart move... suddenly I see a Fiat 500 in my future...

In case you hadn't noticed if you look carefully you will see that DJ wears croc's all the time.

This is to hide his hairy feet, a dead give away that he really is a Hobbit.

I'm guessing it's a combination of Melbourne traffic, ability to park in a garage with boards on roof and ease of lifting boards off racks maybe?

Or maybe DJ is not as tall when he sits down!

I've heard that he actually does the occasional solo Downwinder with the car strapped on the back of the board, but that's probably just an apocryphal tale

Very funny guys..

That pic must have been taken back when I was the freaky guy standing up while paddling around..

People would say to me ''why are you doing that.. It looks really stupid''..

I'm one my old original 11'6'' Nalu..
