Looking for suggestions of a courier or transport company to move a SUP from eastern states to Western Australia not having a lot of luck finding someone .
I have used kayak courier twice 1 success ,1 disaster to be fair probably not his fault, after the trip it arrived unscathed, however the board was left in the sun at a depot during a heat wave total right off delam! And once with TNT board arrived in perfect condition!not without drama though,it went missing for a week and finally turned up .TNT quicker, but be aware you need an existing a/c as they will not do single one of deals ,3 months ago $400 ,summary whoever you go with it's all about the packing!!! I'm not doing either again just to stressful for both parties !

Board is Queensland just to be excact
I've used them (Kayak courier) and I know many friends that have used him without any issues.. He uses a huge truck with padded racks inside.. He usually makes a time that you meet him to pick up rather than just drop off somewhere.. You could hardly blame him for what happens after he's dropped it off.

I agree with you DJ,as I clearly stated probably not his fault. My point being you take a big risk, transporting fragile goods long distances,I personally only use board couriers,as they are the only ones touching the board, that is why I used kayak courier for the second time, with this system the trouble starts when other / or multiple handlers get involved after the board couriers drop off,as was this case, but no one could prove, when the delam occurred ,I just feel for the poor guy who purchased the board payed freight, waited nearly 3 months to get it ,opened an unmarked well packed box and found a delamed board, pretty much a right off, second point ,the tnt delivery is normally fraught with the possibility of damage because of multiple handling that's why I never use them ,I stated this strongly to the purchaser but he took full responsibility for his decision, and it eventually turned up in perfect condition!,I have bought and sold / couriered approximately 40 boards,39 with surf board specific couriers, and only one failure!.. Used a commercial courier once from qld .Perth by road with success go figure ..moral to the story GOOD LUCK

I've sent several boards allround australia using Richard from the Kayak Courier. He owns the business and the truck and knows how to move boards around the country without being damaged.
I sent a board once without packaging to a Melbourne and it arrived without a mark on it as it was strapped to his board racks in the truck. However I would fully pack it for piece of mind if I was you. I know Surf fx use him with all their boards. No double handling as it gets put on and put off by Richard.
He also lives and parks his truck around the corner from my house and is a good hardworking human.
