Sorry DJ,work calls,But i'm really keen to go for my 1st downwinder. I hope you guys have a good one .Rocket.
That was a hoot today, gusting 30+ for the second half. A few quick swims but hey, it is a water sport .
I've got to say i'm really looking forward to it. As a complete d'wind newbie i dont know how good the Dart is but, she certainly paddles well and is ridiculously stable,so hopefully i won't be teabaging to much. Glad to hear it was a good run.
Thanks Bruce.. That belt cam idea worked ok.. What a great day.. I should have my vid done soon showing the view from my latest monstrosity of a GoPro mount.. It turned out ok.. I have some great footage of looking back at you catching runners behind me.

DJ what sort of wetsuit are you wearing for winter downwinders? Wondering if my 2/3 short arm steamer would be enough.
Great video again, really good perspective,
Have you got room for another Downwinder rider to tag along? next time you're going? I should have my new board next few weeks hopefully,

Anyone out on the bay today?? It was rattling the roof early afternoon and whitecap city on Port Phillip. Even some sunshine!
I was kiteboarding last night. It was gorgeous. After the big storm went through the sun came out and the wind filled in nicely with good waves. After that lots of surreal clouds and sunshine and massive double rainbows. You guys would have loved it. It may have been a little too westerly for downwind sup distance.
Here's a pic from last night's news
