URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
With surf conditions as they are the contest committee has decided to make the go/no-go call for the first surf sup round of the new season as early as possible tomorrow morning.
We apologise to those who will travel far and wide for this contest.
The committee has been assessing conditions all afternoon. At present they aren't conducive to conduct a contest, and the swell is forecasted to increase in size. As it stands, only a handful of competitors may have the ability to compete safely. While we know everyone would like to challenge themselves, the club has a duty of care to make sure everyone in the water is safe.
Please be aware, there is a high likelihood the conditions won't be favourable and the contest postponed to a later date. For those travelling far, bring a race board incase the contest is called off. We can always challenge ourselves around the SUP 5.0 course on Narrabeen lake (approx. 15min drive from contest site) which starts at 8am.
