that looks like the start of a 10k sprint race, not a marathon in 25k+ sou east with a current of similar speed.... well done to all those racers who participated and to Camo on the DC who I believe won the race..
Thanks for posting that, I'd completely forgotten the start. Looks like Warwick and I were dozing and hadn't quite lined up alongside the others when the flag dropped. Poor form. 
Thanks for posting the vid, the current there was strong but at least moving forward rather than going nowhere between the two concrete pylons near the mouth of the river, was a great effort by everyone finishing between two and half and three hour finish times, beautiful day in Torquay today,some nice waves about or a fun paddle on a 12'6
