A little while ago I posted about downwind fins.
Being a noob at the fine art of downwinding I was really happy with all the responses and I got better fins to use.
Thanks Aidan from Windgenuity.
AA from Balmoral Boards sent me a wavegrinder fin to try as well, thanks. I have been really slack in trying it as the surf has been pumping and there has been no wind
Finally tried it on the weekend with a little light wind paddle with Belly Hillaries to Trigg.
+ seemed to be fast really lifted on to tiny runners (even pulled away from Belly but not sure if he was trying with his new QB Elite niiiice!!)
+ Tracked well for a tiny fin no yaw which I was expecting
+ Seemed to surf ok
- caught weed big time.
Looks small
Flexy too

Overall heaps of potential I would like to see a bigger version for downwinders I think it would really lift you on to the plane.
Nice bike, I had KTMs for a while MX two strokes.
That looks like some windsurfing fins that I saw the other day, never seen them before. Would they create alot of drag?
Looks good - someone was running one of these on a 12' PSH gun for the race during the Snowy.
I'm doing a retro to a used windsurfer fin atm (pencil line is what I'm trimming the tip to) similar to what I was banging on about but the leading edge is not as straight as I was hoping.
Not sure windsurfer slalom fins are the way to go as they are designed for high speed not really what we are doing on a downwind run.
Found the surf style fin much better than the stock slalom style fin in the 14 glide
@ CrAzY, that fin has a nice foil, if you could get one similar but maybe shorter, have you tried it yet?
