We are looking for a multi purpose sup for fit grand parents for the main use on a lake river , and kids and grand kids whenever they visit .
Want something that paddles and tracks fairly well with good buoyancy .
Quite flexible on budget to get the right board

11' Naish glide . Wide and tracks well ,easy board to paddle ,doesn't rock much when hit by a wave or wake
so very stable ,great construction .12.4 kg in weight .

The Lahui Kai boards are great flat water and ocean tourers. Really nice glide and super stable.
If you plan to spend most of your time on flat water it is really nice to have the extra length and glide from a touring or race board.
All-rounders are great but it is like riding a Mountain bike on the road, nothing really beats a Road bike for road riding, and nothing beats a race or touring board on flat water.

Triple Carbon and very reasonably priced from $1999

There is a new 14' x 26" race but it is a bit tippier and aimed more at the recreational Racer.
Both lengths in 27" width are very stable for all weights up to 100kg

There also the new 11'6 x 29"tourer if you want something more compact and super stable.

You might want to consider a Red Paddle iSup.
The 10'6" x 32" Ride is the number one iSup board in the world, very user friendly.
Alternatively a Starboard Whopper

I love my hobie 12'4x 30" venture series . I have a bic tracer 14x28 which I love , but no one else in the family can ride it . For my extended family stability begins at 30" wide. I also have an 11'x 31" hobie ATR . It's the board I learnt to paddle on and is generally the choice of my wife and kids to ride . There is so much choice out there . The Star board whopper , or free ride should also be considered. The freeride comes in 30 and 32 " widths. Naish make quite a few boards that would also fit your brief .

I think you'll be very happy with the Ray, great board, I just wish they still made it in the green.
