I have been looking at different stand up paddles boards. Being new, I'm not sure which brand is a good one for surfing and just paddling around a lake. One website I have come across is ISLE standup paddle boards. Their Versa board seems to be a good one for what I'm looking to do but like I said, I'm a beginner. Can anyone please tell me if these are good boards or suggest something better?
thanks

Just had a look at the website. Sure.. they look like budget kind of boards - not to say that is a bad thing - but dont have big expectations on durability and performance. I would see if you can get a demo somewhere. That model looks fine for your needs. But honestly, there are plenty of companies putting out this kind of product - and will cost you half that of the major brands - but ultimately, when you get addicted to the activity, you WILL want to upgrade and get a serious and reputable brand sup.Hope that helps.

Welcome.. To answer your question we need to know which ISLE board in particular you're looking at.. and how heavy you are?
We don't have them (ISLE boards) here in Oz (well not that I've seen) but just looking at their site I like the look of their 12'x31" Glider..
Didn't look at the site. Have two rather beginner boards myself - and as you can see - still have a lot to learn! .
Especially the white one (BIC ACE TEC 10'6") is a very easy to ride and durable board. Check their site, no idea if they have them in Australia too.
Nice "lazy" waves. Perfect for those boards! ..... and it looks like you been doing that for a while, so not sure how much more you got to learn! Ha!
