finally took the time time to slap together the footage AA shot of the crew on the saturday arvo session at the noosa festival
the swell was peaking and the wind had swung around that day and turned the super smooth conditions we had all week long into bumpy lumpy mixed up slop
maggots and i were lazing around in the spar on the balcony at our resort unit and spotted woogie out wide of the crew catching a few sly bumps to himself so we thought we would join him to give him some company
by the time we hit the water woogie had disappeared but we were joined by casso and doddsie
we all scored a few long bumpy fat lumps and a few long paddles back out to the peak
and big thank too AA for grabbing the video camera off the missus and hanging out on the rocks to shoot some footage of us kooking about
i even found some more respectable limp sounding tunes from the "volt of dogman's old bands" and slapped some on just for you greenie and DJ
Hey Doggie, Casso et Al nice work!
The big pointy boards rule in those conditions and make the paddle back much easier for sure!
I love the speed that they generate to out race the closing sections.
Off the tail they are quite nimble to and draw big graceful lines.
Great Vid AA
hilly you beat me too it.
I think the 12 foot gun looks awesome in that surf. that vid has just reinforced my new board choice. You boys looked to be ripping it up.
Cheers
Scott
Nice one Doggy! Love the music - overtones of Jeff Buckley with a little bit of Jethro Tull going on! You got some good sound going there!
Nice to see it edited down. I should have taken bosses advice though and grabbed a tripod - would have made the whole job a lot easier.
I just had to get that footage as it is not often you get conditions like that that are perfect for the Gun's AND a vantage point to film it from!
Just wish the owners of that pad right on first point had had the decency to ask me up to shoot from the balcony!
It is a lot easier to stand there and video a session like that when you have just had a solid session yourself on the same break! I had the peak Casso was for an hour with the 9'10 ripper (my mini gun) - man that was fun!
Love ya work!
Nice one Doggy (and AA) but you shouldn't have edited it in slow motion - I'm sure I was going much much faster than that!
