Awesome rahams.
Fill us in on the shaper. Are they doing a lot of these parallel rail designs?
gday
im doing the shaping.its been a long time but its fun.
Looks sweet Noel. I notice you haven't gone with the short fin cluster like the Tomo SBs.
ive just done a 7 4 and moved the fins back and closer together. should be interesting to see how it goes..
my new 7 10 x 28 goes really fast
I confirm, it does go really fast
I hope you can give us another in depth review of this one too rahams.
I had a fun few days on my 7'10 x 28 DC in the desert on the way back to WA but still experimenting with fins, was running it as a quad mainly but it felt a bit skaty at times so I have just put a little nubster in the centre to see how that goes.
7 4 x 27 new fin set up?
As Colas said "Love the round/square nose compromise. best of both worlds?"
How is the bottom shape, look like a belly nose and vee concave with channels
Hi tightlines , did you try your new toy with wide base fins
Hi tightlines , did you try your new toy with wide base fins
It will be interesting playing around with fins I originally had some Shapers power quads in
But have fitted some large C drives which do have a much bigger base, have yet to try it.
I think you will love C-Drives with this shape.
On my wide tail board, the best position I found is a really far back twin set. The more modern quad positions made the board too squirelly once you put the foot on the kickpad, but the wide tail was much more controllable there...

This board is already well finned with this Shapers power quads set
I bet those both sets of fins will work fine, cause wide base without tip are easier to sink in the water while catching lines.
Plus channels give a extra hold in thrust stance
