At the end of this week I am going on a p&o cruise with the family. Its going to noumea & vanuatu and i am trying to decide wheather or not it would be worth taking my board. havnt been on a ship before so I don't know if there will be enough room in the cabin for a 9'11 board and then Im having trouble finding out if the boat will be anchoring near any breaks.

We stop at noumea, lifou isle, vila & wala and have a day in each location. I would hate to leave the board at home and find myself staring at a perfect wave, but then it could be difficult trying to take my board if there is no opportunity to go surfing.

Have any of you been on this trip before and or surfed in any of these locations ??
Any help would be great.

Cheers

Have been on that cruise a couple of times , didint see any spots you could go surfing and the cabins are pretty small. My last one was pretty memorable we had a guy jump overboard in the middle of night in the middle of the pacific , lucky bastrard lived to tell the tale , but if the rest of the passengers gotr their hands on him he wouldnt have survived.

Yeah it took about 4 hours maybee longer to find him , he had a spat with the missus and jumped of the back.Someone threw a life ring over and luckily it had a e-perb on it.So he must have hit the water and thought **** maybee this was not such a good idea. They did have to revive him when they found him.Worst part was we had to speed up to make time so they took the stabilizers off and we got hit with a massive storm. It wasnt fun. Then we where late into Sydney and most people missed flights.

That put me off going on another cruise any time soon.
