I live in New England but will spending 6 week in Ye Olde England this summer with my wife and two kids. We've booked the first weekend of July in St Ives and I'm hoping to find a good sup surf rental to get out for a few waves. Any recommendations from locals? I see the St Ives Surf School but I don't see anything about rentals and certainly not sup surf rentals. Cheers!
The English coast is probably going to be near flat in July, but if the Atlantic is sending any swell, then the beaches around St Ives bay are the most likely places to hoover it up. You will find surfboard hire at nearly all popular beaches around the Cornwall and Devon coasts and you will find places that will hire inflatable SUPs, but unfortunately I am not aware of any places that do surf SUP hire.
Maybe try give these guys a call and see if they are willing to "demo" a board to you for a price?
They are in North Devon and I am not sure where you will be spending the rest of your time, but if they are willing, then picking up / dropping off could be viable.

If you don't come right, then let's chat in May / June. Maybe I can help you out somehow, even though I am not exactly around the corner from St Ives (sadly)
The guy that use to import Sunovas use to live there. I think he still does. I'll dig around for his details because he would know
I'm reliably informed Go SUP in Penzance are the best people to speak to. Try contacting Tracey there to see if they can help.
