Are you riding this yourself or investing or wall hanging? If you are riding it I would suggest 2 * modern day equivs that take the best of the old and blend with the new. As an investment Big Spazz is your man. Wall hanging wise - depends on the colour of your wall and yr style
Bit of all three. would love to ride it to see how it goes. I would also have to find a wall big enough to hang it!!
The fin looks original, can't see that it's been reset...Trophy decal played on Midgets Hawaiin win, but doesn't mean he shaped them...but he rode Keyo..
I guess it depends on the what Janglang wants the board for,as a surfboard its rich in history,is it worth 2.5 k I have no idea,as far as buying it to surf I'd agree with the others guys.i've I was to blow 2.5 on a board it would be a BING or something like that but noway would I spent that sort of money only to have some kook drop in and run it over.
midgets shapes from that era had two logos.....as far as the fin being original, the dork fins came back with more curve and ended just before the tail and the end of them was more rounded. However it could be the original that's been re shaped.it looks similar to the fins miki Dora used....the Kelpcutterrrrrr.in that era the fins were recessed into the stringer, if you got a grinder onto one side of the rovings that would reveal if its imbedded.its over priced by 700-1000.
As well, that outline is reminiscent of the classic phil Edwards boards and Midget admired his surfing and admits phils smooth style was a big influence
Get you Keyo boards here! ... Johnnie Gill is a master craftsman... When Bob stops shaping, Johnnie will be my man!
