Riccardo won at long last. Maybe his tour is not yet over - well one can only wish - whenever he has made a heat he has done well.

IMO they shouldn't have started this event both days they struggled to complete round one on the first day and didn't complete round 2 yesterday, thats got to say something about the conditions. With so much on the line.Lacy and I would have had a look and flaged it for the coffee shop where the injured Vanders would have been

^ I reckon everywhere has been pretty **** this year.

WA was probably the best conditions all year.

Jbay looked fun but hardly Classic Jbay.

Hopefully Hawaii delivers..

gee someone red thumbed you so I thought ill negate that with a green thumb.

but accidently gave you a red thumb.

then I thought oh well he's used to it.

then I felt guilty and green thumbed you.

which should have left you with one glow red thumb.

but you were back to neutral

goes to show you shouldn't stuff around with the thumbs.

but I think the status quo should be retained and gee I don't want to use up all my thumbs

so can somebody red thumb mac so its all good again.

thankyou in advance

This sums it up perfectly. A shame they have got such rubbish waves as Europe normally pump from late Sept. This is definitely the right time of the year to be holding the comp - early autumn when the Atlantic swell machine is first starting to grind. What a shame. Maybe they are all hitting Tinder like Bede in their spare time - although they probably do not need to - just walk out the door

She surfed it unreal. Best wave, biggest tube, super deep, unreal turn when she came out. The bar had already been set high with previous scores in the heat. Steph got a 10 for incomplete ride as well earlier in the year from memory. So its not without precedence. Its hard in a subjective judging format where you have scored previous waves high and then something like that happens - no room to move. I reckon it was a 10. She surfed it unreal. Watch the longer version of the replays - you see it from several different angles. She dominated that wave with style and aggression. I reckon not many of the men would have done much better on that one.

I thought it was a pretty good wave, didn't see the rest of the heat so hard to comment on the score
