Thinking of getting a 9'6 fireball .I have a 9'1 fireball but my daughter loves it so I end up using my old longboard when it under 3 foot (any bigger and she gets a bit scared)
I'm hoping the 9'6 will have a bit more paddle power but won't lose to much in speed and manoeuvrability
Any feedback comparing these two boards appreciated
Not a great deal of difference just a slightly drawn out turn. May I suggest a evo2 at 9.6 it will turn better
Have used a evo 11 9.3 and fire ball 9.6 older model a lot over the last few years , the older FB is a much better ride less rocker, on the nose is easier .. ( note i'm not a great nose rider) easier to paddle catch waves etc , great board a good all rounder .

Bazz that's why all my evo 2's are made with the 07 fireball rocker it's flatter than the 08
Going to look at a secondhand one that's on gumtree at the moment
Sounds like the 9'6 isn't a lot different to the 9'1 so it should suit me fine
Thanks for your feedback
that blue 9.6 on GT looks ok , I got mine second hand as new off SEA breeze for 800 a few years ago , 900 seems a fair price if it is a FB .
Ended up paying $800 for the blue FB .It's pretty much like new .The dimensions are
9'6 x 23 1/4 x 3 1/4 which seems a little different than standard?

Can you post a image of your purchase
I went for a surf on Monday and was very happy with the way the board went.
Its got a fair bit more volume than the 9'1 and therefore has better paddling power . Definitely less nimble than 9'1 but still turns nicely .I didn't notice any difference in the speed of the two boards
My daughters playing rugby on the Gold Coast on Sunday so I might try and get out.Wheres a good break to surf a board like this?
Is it a good buy bazz?
