^^^^ Turning the big 40 and heading over to Hawaii in the new year with the better half.
She has given the green light for something a little special to find its way home with us.
But don't know if he is still shaping.
^^ Thanks Tux
I have had a bit of a squizz online and can only find 1 factory that looks like taking orders..but the website looks a few years old.
Have found a shop in honalulu that does stock his boards, and one on the windy side of the Island also.
If you or anyone else has any contact details to help me on this mission could you please send me a PM.
It would make things a little easier and it would help me out heaps.
Locky
I am trying to go in March and am planing to not even take any boards over. Just grab a few whilst there off the second hand rack - and bring them back when I am done. Very excited. Hopefully there will be a few less people in the water by then with the circus long departed and being the later end of the season.
Hey Ted,
Last time I went was march/april. A lot quieter for sure. Still got waves with weekdays by far the best. Weekends get Busy
Still saw a few good swells with the biggest being 12 - 15 foot ( hawaiian ) that was in April.
This time going in may just to relax, shop and chill with the missus.
My plan is similar to yours, not taking a board over but trying to get a custom to bring home. And maybe a second hand if the price is right.
If anyone is looking to stay on the Northshore, you should check out Hau Tree House. www.homeaway.com/search
A great spot and right in the middle of all the 7 Mile.. Quiet of the main road with absolute beach frontage. Well priced and unreal neighbours..
Head to Haleiwa for a day and you'll see his retail shop front just up from the bridge with both guns and longboards.
We were there in April this year and did some shopping
It's opposite and just up from Surf & Sea and right next door to Tropical Rush with the Fox sign on the door on the Kam Hwy next to the Anahulu Bridge.
Thanks Surfanimal.
Last time there I do remember the shop but it was closed Will check it out again.
Brought a bunch of clothes and dvd's from surf n sea. Then over the road for some Da Hui gear from Tropical Rush, and got a couple of free shaved ice coupons.
