Got me a new toy. 6'6" × 21&1/2" × 3" cv2 from Gary McNeill.
Shod with Akila Aipa twins in front and custom trailers from Huie.
I've been enjoying the 7'2" version of this one so I ordered a custom from Gary. This one has a domed deck and much lower volume rails than its big brother.
Its for general beachbreak duties. Hopefully can give it a run for the early tomorrow.

That's a beauty. looks drivey and loose - does it have much rocker?

Its the shed space I'm worried about.
I suppose I will have to mow the growth that I laughingly call a lawn before I take a quiver shot too!
Drip, I reckon Gary does a really nice continuous rocker through the bottom. No 3 stage stuff for him.
And while its a great looking stick it can only help me so far.
Rasta's the "world's greatest scratcher" in the words of Dick Van when discussing wave catching so Rasta is able to ride tiny, highly foiled boards in sizey waves. Me, I'm being hampered by a buggered left shoulder and arthiritic neck so foam is my wingman.

Grabbed this for the eldest 7th birthday in 2 weeks....had to explain to him that he needs to put an order in a bit earlier if he wants Dad to shape him one...5'9 x 19 1/4 x 2 1/4....TBH I would probably freak out trying to make something with this little foam

Here's a thread from Real surf discussing Gary McNeill boards.
forum.realsurf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30188
In short light, strong, responsive boards (in this case stringerless with carbon rails) with the focus on fishier planshapes with deepish concave bottoms on some that have excellent foam distribution and foil.
Made on the Gold coast and all. They are fast and loose too.

my only board to survive a year.MR bushranger 6.4 x 20 x 2 5/8 rocket. the most high performance board I have- even at that size. photo doesn't show it but it has pronounced hips at the side fins which give a lot of bite.a good amount of nose and tail rocker.

almost to good for me at times. realistically you probably get this board out in solid or shaped or hollow 3 ft up.

although I surfed it in less and had a ball.

cheers

go mac

Opposite actually, all medium except for the AB, that has very small fins for me but they work very well.

The Odyssey has massive front fins and tiny rear fins, haven't ridden it yet need a lot of work. Would have loved to see it when it was new.

Ted one must allow for the following.

Lacey has dropped that board back to the store to sell on consignment twice so surly the record is still up for grabs.
