Man its a killer,went yesterday he killed me just need to stretch and rest.

Im 6.0 80kg and used the ones he gave me with the board, at first I thought I got an odd set of fins with the rear/centre fin being a bit larger than the sides but they work great on that board and that one only. Tried them in three other boards and nada. Didn't work.

Whatever happened to Chirspy and his board anyway whats this.

The centre fin placement is too far forward for a bonzer/bonzer bottom. Leading edge of the centre fin usually 1/8 - 1/2" (if memory serves) behind the trailing edge of the side fins.
If it doesn't have the bonzer concaves then without the venturi effect they say it has then maybe the fin placement isn't as critical.

Opposite actually, all medium except for the AB, that has very small fins for me but they work very well.

The Odyssey has massive front fins and tiny rear fins, haven't ridden it yet need a lot of work. Would have loved to see it when it was new.

I've had two ABs and used small fins in both of them - one if them were really small. I normally like pretty big fins (6'2, 93kgs). Maybe it's something to do with his rockers or foils or outlines?

I worked at Odyssey for a few years. Used to sweep the floor on work experience as a grom in the Newcastle street factory, cleaning up afetr Nev and Col Smith then when i was older Ran the shop at Mettams on Westcoast H'way. If it was haped by Bruce Smith that would hacve been one of the last boards he did over here before taking of to Spain to live. Didnt do a lot of Quads, only customs and mainly Bat and Swallow tails. Steve Gray " Motor" who shaped with Nirvana before comming over to the West Coast, did a handful in the early 90's.

Good Save, Well Done!
Look after it. Its probably already collectable, but im sure will be more so in the years to come. The templates and rail profiles he was using then were about 10 years ahead of the game.

Yes indeed what she looks like is crucial to how it feels under your arm and ultimately how it will feel / perform in the surf

Look forward to seeing some pics as you go through the restore. Make sure you are careful if playing with the bottom too much - I have found them super easy to sand through on a few resto's I have done. Obviously the rails as well - despite the fact that one would they would have some extra glass under them from the wrap. Might be just the brittleness they get over time. Enjoy - super good fun but painfully long process !
