Yeah never really thought about it like that, for the beaches around here that size is good and usually offers plenty of options.
Oh yes SP that coastline from the harbour south for 45km has many an option for a big swell from a NE to a big S. It has loads of options. Miss it when I am stuck in Sydney knowing that many a fine break would be going off on that stretch of coast - if you know where to go - which you do

Amazing that a thread can be started which has no relation the the forum its been posted in.
Now try doing that in the short or sup forums.
Geez we dragging this up again??
Where is all the Lb talk??? But What do you mean?
It is a surfing forum and this is where the LB riders hang out and this is a topic about what surfboard long boarders ride when they don't ride LBs?
What should all sit on the beach when it is over dick high dribblers??

I'm a touch lighter then LL and love volume, I have a shorty that would go close to 40 liters.
Normal board is about 35ish..
The thickness doesn't bother me as much after riding LBs as long as they have a rail that I can sink.

I think the different waves as well make a difference. We usually surf beachies with a bit of punch. My new JS paddles like a midlength
