The board in that pony Car was a classic hullish pintail from the early 70s when every blank was using a resin glue up for a stringer. That, as we now know, is really not a very good idea for either strenght or flexibility

What was unusual was that the blank was a triple resin glue up. So obviously someone came up with a way to divide by zero

You'd have to ask the question..

All those old 50's & 60's "everyday" surf wagons/cars that have been shown have such old school class.

So will any of todays cars be held in the same esteem in 2050

They won't even survive that long to be a classic

Chrispy would be right, the cars of today are mainly plastic, the old 50's and 60's ,70's cars had characteristic styling albeit had their plastic to in certain areas but the bumper bars ,grille, side mouldings, tail and headlight bezels, etc where all steel chromed which makes them more classical IMO

There's a guy at my local that rides this, he was out surfing this day, hence no board on the racks.

In Cobras a sense I'll have a crack

It's a mid 80's FXE by the looks of it, don t think that's the original front end though. you can see the shokies at the rear on the side, put really roughly that would put it in the glide range e.g, Dyna glide , super glide etc

A soft tails shockies are actually hidden under the bike. They are designed to look like a hard tail (no shockies) but obviously aren't, hence why they are called soft tails. But I can assure you that they aren't much softer than a hard tail to ride

the glides ( Dynas) like the one shown are a lot more comfortable to ride that's for sure, soak up a lot more of the bumps.

love to know where he got his racks.

These sort of setups always amaze me. Never ridden one, but the thought of a strong cross wind makes me shiver having been blown across three lanes of a freeway on one of my bikes several years ago. There's a couple of local guys who belt up and down the tracks on chook chaser variants of this.

The Harley is a classic.

I made a rack up for my SR 500 in the early 90's, similar style out of 1/2 square tube. Mounted to down tubes at the front and the gear sack at the back. Surprisingly stable on the road, never strapped a mal to it though .
