hahaha,Yeah Mick I know what ya mean .Nice Manta Buggy mate .Those panel vans were cool ,The Overlander they were called,Holden commissioned a bloke in Tassie to make them,so I've heard,a good one is very rare and sought after these days,some of them are going for up to 80 grand

haha cheers m8...crikey thats way out of my affordability range. They were costly on fuel even back then if they were V8, not a run round car but yeah so cool. At , least the manta's would be cheap to run eh...my first dream car

Ok one more story while my memories triggered...when I was about 18 in the late 80's we did a surf trip up to Lancelin like we did once or twice pretty much every week. Fuel was cheap, especially with our instacrowd of 6 or 7 crammed into bench seat 70's holden or ford wagons...but anyway, one day we were on our way home when a preocession of about 7 vehicles passed by...all 70's wagons, utes & one panel van kitted out with lift kits & probably 4wd. They flew by us on a straight between Seabird & Ledge Point doing about 180...The Panel van looked epic
