It was one of the replica's that were done in the 2000's.

http://www.jacksonsurfboards.com.au/index.php/special-boards/limited-editions

Jacko's have the original that was used in the movie 'Hot Generation' and this was No 6 or 7 (can't recall) made.

It was ordered by an ex 1st grade footballer for his family home however he fell on hard times and the marriage ended so he advertised it for sale even though it had never been collected from the factory upon completion so I got it for 2/3 the original price.

I rode it (how could you not) and wall hung it in my loungeroom eventually selling it to a surf shop for display on the Sunshine Coast in QLD.

The McCoy was a custom in about 2006 / 2007. At the time they retailed for around $1500.00 and were rare and Geoff knocked this up for me and the boys in Byron did a beautiful spray exactly as I'd asked.

It was 9'3 x 23 x 3 1/8 from memory, included the loaded dome principal with 60/40 full rails and was an absolute beauty IMO.

It felt big, lots of float but loose as a goose and a true allrounder.

I have a friend who has the exact shape to this day and it's still his 'go to' board.

I sold it to a guy in Manly who loved it for a long time, had a photo on Coastalwatch once flying across a 5 foot face and it looked so good !

WOW! How on earth did you ever part with some of those works of art? I would have just had to fine a bigger garage and probably some extra cash flows. I just picked up a new stick 45mins ago and can not wait to get her wet

IMO his boards are absolutely magnificent creations !
I'd been mesmerised by Siesta's & Ola's and a friend in Cres'n'ed bought a 12' Weg to surf The Jail at SWR and Pt Plomber on and I just fell in love.
I bought a 9'0 Model A then had an 8'0 custom, the 9'6 and a 10'0 and they all went well in the right conditions but terrible in others. Big, heavy, horizontal only and too expensive ! But man, what quality and pedigree however I didn't have the ability of Tom on them !
Tom went down the Paulownia route at this time and stopped shaping poly boards and that was that.
I them came across a 10 x 23 x 3 pinched rail Crusader Model (in the shots above) and this thing blew my mind. A semi gun shape, what he rode in Siesta's and the bigger the wave, the better this board performed.
...single glassed fin, set right on the edge of the tail and this board gave me the confidence to surf waves I'd never felt I could take on.
To date, this board is up there as THE board for mine.... I still miss it !
The guy who bought it grabbed it for bigger south coast bombie waves. Perfect.

Thanks mate.

I rode them, understand each of them and moved forward with every sale and purchase so no regrets.

Most of them are being enjoyed by someone now which is awesome and I have a clear picture of what works for me in differing conditions.

The 10'6 Munoz is the best board I've ridden, the 10' Crusader is an animal....some boards live off their reputation and are nowhere near as good as what they claim and others bat above their average but I'll keep those opinions to myself.

The best thing is I still drool over the odd board and still buy and sell the odd one when I see something that I'm attracted too....still stoked !

Same - have to sell in order to buy and if I can't part with one, I don't buy the other....revolving door on what the priority is.

I have none of those boards now - I know where some live and speak to their owners from time to time.

SA, have you ever done a total count of SB's and 666's you have bought and sold over the years.
I recall you had a sh1tload of 666's then sold them all and took up OC then sold the OC and bought more 666's again.
I've still got the Coastrunner you sold me 3 years ago.

Scotty, that Laird is a great board IMHO.

I could do the count. I have pics of every board. Maybe next week when (if) work is quite.

The OC1 experience was awesome for 666 training but so damn expensive. Could buy 5 boards for 1 x OC1 !

Nice to see you visit Fester. You have a magic quiver and you need to share your porn with us.

(Driven past you twice this week mid morning with a nice blue piece on the roof).

Ted, a couple more have poked their heads up here;
