That looks like it will a very nice home....good job , having just sold my home that has been work in progress for a number of years and completed in time for the auction board to stand proud, then about to buy another and do it all again, must have rocks in my head.. either that, or its the onset of dementia as I have forgotten the pain and indeed the pleasure in finishing, at least as being the builder... the client is taken out of the equation so the building project is made 100% easier...

Thanks guys, It has been hard work but will be worth it in the end. I'm going to try and get out for a paddle on the Astro next weekend. The family is over from Melbourne and I won't be working on the house. Will sneak away for a sunrise surf.

Renovations are breaking me. Working 60 hour work weeks plus Saturday and Sunday on the house every week. Haven't been on a board or a bike for 6 weeks. All demolition done, footings to be poured monday, wall framing in the next fortnight, trusses in 3 weeks, roof sheets hopefully before Christmas. Also living with the ladies parents, it has its moments.

Sorry boys, need to let it out.

My heart goes out to ya mate, I know how it feels. I did my own wall/floor tiling & painting on the last build, hammered me. Not to mention retaining walls, fences, gardens, it never ends lol....but your place is coming up great & you do really appreciate it in the end...well done

Alright boys,

Well I oficially slept in the house for the first time this weekend. I must say other than the two dogs beside me and in front of us who just bark constantly all day it was pretty nice. Managed to get a few snaps for you guys.

McHenry you should be one mighty proud man - that is a sensational effort. I am sure all the hard slog is now worth it. Time to get that you board out and get some leisure time back - you deserve it.

Mate that looks awesome, something to be very proud of and a credit to you & the mrs.

I'll be down your way in the coming months so it'd be great to catch up if time allows.
