Nice ingenuity there Nozza - personally I like to solve these types of problems from first principles - do not live somewhere that I need to wear them
I was thinking that you were going to have trouble painting with those black things stuck over the top......
Chopped up Pool Noodles may also be an option, but they may be a bit too large in diameter.
I remember you wearing those light tan ones with the buckles last time we met, did you end up getting the black ones in the same style you were looking for ob?

Isn't it hard to surf in the pointy toed ones?
I'm with you Ted.
No booties required on the Sunshine Coast.
Good idea though.
ET.
Is that why its called the sunshine coast

Pool noodles too small internal diameter for the "chimney" effect to ventilate the foot part of the boot.
"Mach 2" version may have a wire frame to elevate the bottom of the roller clear of the sole for improved air flow.
We use the cardboard core from paper towel rolls. Has enough structure to keep the boot open but also allows the boot yo breath.
That's it - I'm claiming it for mine - wait until we do branded ones for Naish, Trigger, whatever. I will retire comfortably on the proceeds
Great idea!
Can't believe your in booties already though, I am still in my 3/2s surfing for 4hrs +
Mainlanders don't know what cold is.
Mainlanders don't know what cold is.
and don't want to know neither

Mainlanders don't know what cold is.
On the cusp of needing them - water getting colder.
Wetsuit the same - too cold without but cook wearing one.
And I was born in Sandy Bay, so not really a mainlander,
Like Ted, I've just lived here a long time.
