i believe the writings on the wall lockdown is around the corner and unless your field is logistics medical power worker ect ect you'll be like most spending plenty of time home.
my question is. have you got any projects in mind or goals basically being proactive with this time.
maybe you'll have a board build happening or a project with the kids.
before some go there, i know some will be wanking and drinking beer
im starting with a morning workout, so i don't blow out.
I've collected a list of materials i need for projects around the house.
the veggie garden has a trailer of mulch ready.
I can still work at this stage but if it happens Ive got 2 old cars to play with and catch up on fixing small things on them
Might build this as well...

I was just reading an article from some expert at the some qld uni.
Hes saying the modelling shows a year before the virus runs out of steam. Regardless of what we do.
But he still believes in the measures being taken
I'm taking up drinking full time. Home-schooling kids is going to be "fun"

nothings sold till the $$ are in your account , given the circumstances some buyers may sacrifice deposits rather than take on more dept or if things go real bad a rapid asset devaluation .

Let's hope it's unconditional but it's a time to pick up bargains a lot of people totally stressed but I say to them hang in easy to say but.
Yeah. I understand that bazz. Thats why im not moving anything until the 13 th.
My point is i have to shift my **** out of my place to some storage ive got. Then move into a share house arrangement with 2 people who asked me. My own area and ensuite
How does that work in a lock down is my question.
Ps it has gone unconditional but we are in uncertain times
Still working atm so pretty lucky compared to a lot . Still don't know if we are classed as an essential service or not so who knows what we will be up to next week .
And what does lockdown mean - eg . If I can walk to the beach and I am the only one on the beach ( which I am 99 percent of the time )can I surf
Either way if I do run out of gear wont be able to duck into Bunnings for a top up so yep have been stockpiling gear to finish off all the half finished projects ( 2 boards with delaminations to patch , 2 blanks haven't started on , fence half built to stop the sons dog eating the neighbours pet rabbits , new work shed bench , 2 wine racks half built - to name a few )
My daughter is due her second baby in two weeks I doubt we will be able to visit once born, theres strong talk of a total lockdown coming next week for a 3 week period.
I've been to Bunnings and got all the bits and pieces to commence 3 weeks of doing odd jobs around the house!!
I was told in nz building is still consider a essential service.
Anyone confirm that
nah everything closed, mates a brickie , not allowed to work , NZ may be the 1st western country to eradicate virus , we should be doing the same .

We need to shut down NOW
Meanwhile we have our local election tomorrow I voted last week and it took 10 mins and this screenshot is today.

Depends - as a kiwi some of my mates are builders and definitely stopped working.
My tenant has a relocated house project and that has stopped.
I was going to get shower installed downstairs and that's delayed.
The exception to continue if its the project is an important infrastructure project.
Some of my customers are essential service with Transport of ISO Tanks and Road Tanks but the engineering companies that service have stopped
