Hi all, any stories of longboarding at Urbnsurf ?

I know Steve got some great footage their a little while back, which I enjoyed watching and I was there myself a couple of weeks ago to meet up with someone (board pick up) so watched for a while and was mightily impressed.
So, with days of onshore forecast here in Sydney, wife and I have booked a 1 hour session each this Sunday on the 'cruiser' wave. I'm told we should each get 12 or more waves in the hour.

We are very much looking forward to it and for some of you struggling, this could be an outlet to get the stoke happening again ?

Hi mate. Was told buy a mate that surfed Cruiser mode on a 9'6" last week said it was a bit slow for him and he is nowhere near your expertise. Enjoy. I was there a couple of weeks ago (looking) and it does look inviting. I was watching surfing on expert level and you could handle that comfortably IMO.

Thanks Steve, the plan is to go up the ladder with each visit and I'm happy to start at the bottom and enjoy it for what it is on my 10 footer - hope you're well mate

We had a fantastic day at Urbnsurf yesterday. Highly recommend it to anyone and while it doesn't replace a day at the beach per-say, what a fantastic day out with family / friends all the same, and definitely fills a void during flat / onshore spells or for maybe some summer night surfing or a catch up with friends. We will be back for sure and can see it becoming a monthly event for us.

The Cruiser wave was soft but a good lead into the whole experience. We learnt the basics and will be ready to level up next visit. I rode my 10'0 Walden Mega which was perfect for the day but I'd ride my 9'6 on the intermediate level as it's steeper with a fair amount of push.

Here's some pics from our day and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who loves surfing.

Great pics and video! (interesting choice of music)
I get that it's all a matter of perspective, literally, but the gopro on the nose always makes the wave look about 1/4 of it's size.
Looks like a fun day and set up.

Thanks mate. A super fun day. As for the music, purely what I had in iTunes that was a similar time length to the movie. The GoPro is such a funny thing. It doesn't matter if it's 2 foot or 10 foot, it always looks the same. I remember watching some footage of Kai Lenny last year at Jaws and I thought it was maybe 6-8 foot, then I saw the front on view and it was more like 25 foot and I laughed and wondered why it compresses the height so much !

Looks like you guys had a fun day and thanks for the pics. I didn't know you could take a 10 footer. If I go (health permitting) I will do the Walden 9'6" fat one for fat me. I have the 8' Aipa Stinger as well and that is my goal to use there but health keeps me sidelined sometimes. Thanks for the update.

Just back from a few days down at Burrill Lake. Wife and I got some cracking waves over the long weekend which was awesome.
Booked myself back into Urbnsurf this coming Friday on the intermediate wave. Taking the 9'6 out for a run and will report back over the weekend.

Another great afternoon at The Pool today. Key take away was that while I was able to swing the 9'6 around on the intermediate wave, I doubt it'll handle the advanced so I'll have to invest in a 9'0 for that session. I enjoyed today's session but will try the advanced next time. Some pics of the advanced below followed by a couple of me on the intermediate riding the 9'6 Walden Mega Magic.

Nice wavepool pics and the long weekend looked very nice. Haven't been down there since the SUP club days.
