Re. ungainly and awkward can you seriously not see it?

Re. good surfing: not falling off, making the wave if possible and not doing ungainly **. The rest is open. It depends upon how one defines good though, and good can be defined as anything one likes... so it can be defined as standing backwards on one leg pointing the toes in the air if that's what pleases you.. I don't mind.

Roy, surf how you like and others will do te same. As long as they enjoy it who gives a Fark...

I kinda agree that some modern logging is just lame . The boards aren't proper logs and they don't get surfed like Logs should.

But IMO good surfing is always about speed, trim and picking a good line whether it be, short, midlength or long.
