i love my new Pieter Easyrider so much im selling a couple of other boads and getting one of his HP longboards. Only problem is, this time i want some colour. So can anyone recommend a manufacturers web site that has some nice simple paint jobs. I love the tail and nose dip thing, and i like the black stripes with red and white, like Machas.
i goes against my better judgement to buy a board from a shaper who is no longer surfing but Pieter has enough team riders and repeat customers constant feedback he is really getting it right. My new board is unbelievable to ride. So easy. Picks up waves easy, step back for a big bottom turn then head up front. What a rush.
Anyway, i need some help with colours.

Can't go past Red , Black & White popular colour on the Goldie
Go hard puppy I like this one.
Deep red bands, you could add a thin black pin line on the outside of the red.if your not on instagram you should join so much board porn.
Ok, how does black on a board perform? Someone told me today its a bitch to keep wax on as its always very soft on any decent size black bits on your board.
Think im going with 3 big thick black stripes at the top with white between and above then a soft colour on the rest of the board, not sure what. Not too dark as it will show up little dings too much.
Had a mostly black 666, nightmare.
Gets too hot, shows every mark, looks crappy.
And I bought it from Lacey.........
Sold it quickly.
What would be the colours of a traditional log?
I think the old 50's and 60's logs had lots of vertical stripes and timber. Im thinking something like this.
maybe not the black striped on now. Dont think the wax v sun thing will work. I like the flames or just the sunburst nose.
I've got black on my boards all about 8 inch stripes. Here is and old shot no problem here in QLD keeping wax on but I wouldn't over do the black.
But if you going traditional its hard to beat the GT stripes.
This board is a Pieter HP board so no traditional colours for me. I do like the black or dark red stripes though, esspecially on the nose end.
OK, this is my skateboard, but I think based on traditional longboard colour scheme.
2/3 , 1/3, or divided in to thirds longways looks classy.
Simple is best.
Ok, sold another board today, so just have the new Pieter and the Sheely. So im going to see Pieter to order another board tomorrow. Im going with his SBB HP longboard. Its a Short Board Bottom 9'1" quad (with a rear box) as much as i love the 3 big stripes i might go with a sunburst (red to yellow fade) with something on the bottom. Or even the flames with white at the bottom half.

I DO think you have a wax problem Mac,theres none on it,do you actually surf these Mct boards or are they just for show and tell
Nice one Steve. Would love one of his SBB mals and good choice on the length. I would personally stay away from any dark myself but the checkers look cool.
Just looking for a model so I can order this artwork 903 evo 2 perhaps

I dont know if its the photo, as its a cracker, but I do love this board. I also think it would look good with no pin line and a freehand type edge on the stripes. Nice deep red would be hot.
Dumb question time: Whats the diff (if any) between a white paint board v no paint? is the any reason to have the blank sprayed white?

Spraying the blank white reduces the yellowing in the future.
DONE! Order is in. this is the exact board he is doing for me. Cant wait.

Yeah having it sprayed white stops the yellowing that occurs with a clear board. Well worth it as the boards stay white and hold their value better.

Yup, same art. 9'1" x 23" x 2 7/8" and will ride as a quad.
