I'm selling a few very desirable short boards.
Also a most excellent kayak.
Since I woke up last Thursday morning before the crack of dawn and rode down to the Gold coast to trade my ride in on this wicked bike.
I thought the ride down there at 5.30am was super cold but nothing to compared to the frosty reception when I returned home with my new pride and joy.
Just can't understand why wifey isn't as enamoured with it as I am?
So funds need to be dredged up to put things right with the world.
I currently don't care if the waves are less than stellar since this thing loves corners.

You might need to work on your photography bro...your new moped is almost blocked out by that road bike

Ha ha, that moped is an Aprillia 500 cc and will do 100 mph. The SV 1000 will do considerably more than that though.

Congrats Cuttlefish. I am enamoured with it for you. I am eyeing off the 650 version for my next bike. I haven't ridden either but by all reports both are very good bikes with sweet engines. I may even go a Vstrom version after the test rides. My last bike was a Honda Blackbird - just silly.

I used to have the 650 as well. Great bike.

Rode my 750 Bonneville to Phillip island once and it was fun but the next year took the SV 650 and it was actually more comfortable.
Loves the twisties. Look for one with a pipe cause they sound much better.
Haven't ridden the v-stroms. You see them on the highways a lot.

I'd like a little moped for quick surf checks, would prefer an electric bike but they're way overpriced in Australia. Only $500 in Japan but you can't ship the batteries.

Since I've hijacked the thread I might as well go all in with some pics of bikes I had while in Thailand. Used to cut and modify them a lot.

After the Blackbird I want an upright riding position and a speed limiter if either no fairing or a slightly less powerful engine. The Honda was so cammy it really wanted to be sitting 170 or so in top gear, although it would pull top from 30 or 40 klicks no worries. I also heard the 650 was the smoother motor. Whatdya reckon of that? Correct? I heard it from a husband and wife team on his and hers 650 and 1000 SVs.

It's 7 or 8 years since the 650 but I wouldn't say the 1000 isn't smooth so both of them were good in that respect. Not vibey at all. Thing is you can pick up a 1000 for the same price or less than the 650s. Probably more demand for the 650's due to learner regulations on engine size/power. The 1000 has awesome torque.

Tough guys like to say "grow some balls" but in fact balls are rather weak and vunerable.
Much better to grow a vagina, cause its out of harms way and can take a pounding.
