Thanks Cobra - can not wait to play that lovely course. Already have a few mates keen to come down and play it with me. May have to look your friend up once I get my swing back
Spent a small fortune buying thermals this weekend plus a few others jumpers etc. new wettie arrives Monday (5/5 with inbuilt hoddie). Road trip starts Thursday. Spent the weekend packing up the house. Joy.
Well you'll be pleased to know that our unseasonably dry/warm autumn is coming to an end this week, forecast rain every day this week and snow to 800m on Wednesday...
Typo - 5/4! Thanks for the weather update Andy - was trying to avoid looking at it for another few days
I get scared just watching the vids of that step!
Thanks for the list of thing to do ET. We are both pretty excited to spend 5 months zooming round. Will try and check as many off as we can
It's a different world down there from all reports ET so need to find something from another world to help me out
Not sure about the O&E wax Ted, most waxes will just go hard a slippery after one surf down here.
Mrs. Palmers trumps all other brands through winter in my opinion! Ransom wax is good stuff as well, stays sticky for a few surfs.
Wetty looks goood though, my brother just got one as well, I am kinda put off getting one of my own by the random seam that is placed straight along ones crack though.
Thanks for that Teacake. They through the wax in - stoked to get rid of their cold water collection. Classic. It was all dusty n dirty from being in back of the cabinet. Will take your recommendation on when I find some. No Cool wafter stuff round these parts
The wettie seems good - great price. I wanted the Patagonia but it was over twice as much - so thought I might try this one first and see how I go. I might hate the cold water and not even bother surfing I decided that I would buy a new board with the difference. Easy
just need to advise Tux now.
Yeah that is what I am thinking re boards only have the one with me as all the others are in Indo these days. Need to add to the quiver. Had one ordered but its too similar to what I have already - so thinking of getting Tux to make me something for when its a bit bigger / windy / cold !
I will be based in the NW for now but will be keen to travel for waves. Love exploring. With a bit of notice I should be able to get where I need to get
Had to drive to Launceston and back yesterday and the weather was absolutely feral!!! practically had to tac the van into the wind
This one is Hobart this Morning, first snow fall for he season... Swell to follow
7'2" by 20.5 by 3ish. Loads of paddle power is what I am thinking.
Mr Riverrider - that looks fun !! Can not to get out there
I looked at the bouys and wind readings last night - very windy Andy !
