Geez boys that's some schmick looking green stuff right there!!
Between topping up the pool and watering the grass, the $800/qtr water bills are getting a little hard to take.

McHenry very tidy mate however your lawn needs a drink just like you do after a big day, it's not easy being a lawn trying to look good for its owners when they continually walk all over you.

best thing you can do for your lawns is cut it higher & ditch the catcher ..mulch only ...most lawnies do this now and for customers that want clippings taken away they mow lawns with the catcher on and mulch anyway ......sorry no lawns in apartment....

No way there nothing worse than walking over wet grass full of grass clippings, they stick to your feet.

Ill never mulch again. I did it this summer but with Sir Walter (soft leaf buffalo) the clippings make too much compost and when it gets hot i get heaps of mushroom/toadstools popping up. Back to catching for me

For domestic lawns you really only have to mulch every now and then, not all the time. Now it's getting cooler overnight and the grass is going semi dormant,it's a good time to mulch.Through the hotter months catch it and just mulch every few mows.I only mulch mine on roughly every third or fourth mow.To thatch it just go one level down on what you usually mow it then the next mow go down one level again if you can. That's what I do here and at work, seems to work!...

I use Tunza Pasture on everything mate, fairly high in nitrogen content,I think it's about 26% Total,a bit like the old HiFert (which I heard you can't buy anymore) but not as potenent
The good old feed the chooks style dispersment,it will last about 4 months with regular watering!...
You should be able to buy it at any produce store!....
